We all know that you need to properly feed, but sometimes I feel like grab something tasty, but harmful in the street. In this collection are some popular "street" food from different countries.

01. Seviche, Peru.

Not necessarily speak the Khmer language, to understand the contents of the tray menu street in Phnom Penh. To date, pork is the most popular type of meat.

03. Sausages, Germany.

 On these trays can find only the best kinds of sausages. Residents of Germany are very fond of bratvurst, bokvurst and other deli delights with a glass of delicious German beer.

04. Banh Mi sandwiches, Vietnam.

This sandwich is made from French baguette, which contains delicious meat and vegetables. It is ideal for breakfast and is very popular among local residents.

 05. Grasshoppers, China

Grasshoppers on skewers are always surprised by western tourists, but at the same time, Chinese traders love them dearly. These days, eating grasshoppers is no surprise. Organization of Food and Agriculture Organization says that the world consumed about 1,400 species of insects.

06. Beach delicatessen, India. 

Holidaymakers on the beach of Goa is not always enjoy the local goodies away. Here you'll find samosas, chicken, various soft drinks.

07. Chicken entrails, Philippines.

Esau decoy - Filipino dish that is chicken entrails on skewers. Offal first marinated and then roasted on a grill or broil just strongly.

 08. Noodles, Thailand.

Chefs cook the noodles so ably on an open fire, that passers-by just can not resist.

09. Shanghai dumplings, China.

One of the favorite Chinese "city snacks" are dumplings. This dish is common throughout Shanghai.

10. Mint tea, Morocco.

Filled to the brim with mint and chunks of sugar, tea glasses Moroccan waiting in the wings.

History is often seen as a subject of cramming – what we often don’t appreciate, is how intertwined it is with our present. Dutch historian Jo Hedwig Teeuwisse tries to demonstrate that very literally with her Ghosts of  War photo series, where she blends the present day and the original World War II pictures of the same place into one. Jo spends hours looking for the locations and taking pictures that match the originals, and then photoshops them to combine the war ghosts into the current settings.

“I try to make people realise that history is all around us. That where you live, work or go to school, once people fought, died or simply experienced a different kind of life. We are history, history is us,” – she says.
